RICHARD WAYCOTT

New Board Member
Spot Board Member Since 2025

ABOUT RICHARD:

A native of Southern California, Richard’s family has connections to the Wood River Valley that date back to the early 1900’s, and the original Warm Springs family cabin is still standing! Rebecca and Richard moved to Ketchum in 2001 with their kids Louisa and Colin, both Community School graduates. Louisa is a vocal artist living and performing on the East Coast (and, on occasion, at The Spot!). Colin and his wife Grace live in San Francisco.

Richard recently stepped away from his 42-year career in global agri-business, having spent many of the early years working and living in South America. The latter half of his career was dedicated to overseeing the California almond industry and working on its behalf around the world. While theater and music have always been a big part of the Waycott’s lives, acting on stage is a new and somewhat terrifying pursuit for Richard, having been part of the ensemble in the recent St. Thomas Playhouse productions of Billy Elliot and Annie.
Richard is honored to serve on The Spot’s board, imagining the future of this valley treasure.

THE SPOT WISHES TO THANK RICHARD FOR HIS
UNPARALLELED SUPPORT OF OUR MISSION.
