V O I C E
Students will explore the essential skills they’ll need as actors who sing. Sight singing, interval recognition, ear training and elements of music theory will give students a sold foundation in the musical arts. Students will collaborate on devised original pieces, which find their basis in musical improvisation and exploration of the voice.
D A N C E
Rooted in classical ballet technique, students will explore a variety of styles including modern, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theater and tap. Students will be encouraged to perform as well as create their own pieces through improvisation and peer collaboration. Areas of focus will be proper technique, terminology, musicality and interpretation/inspiration.
